Effective slab width

According to Standard Specifications for Highway Bridges (17th edition, 2002), in composite girder construction, the assumed effective width of the slab shall not exceed the following:
- One-fourth of the span length of the girder
- The distance center to center of girders
- Twelve times the least thickness of the slab
