- <tex>c</tex> ... damping coefficient
- <tex>c_c</tex> ... critical damping coefficient
- <tex>m</tex> ... mass
- <tex>\xi</tex> ... critical damping ratio
- <tex>\omega</tex> ... undamped natural circular frequencies
- <tex>\omega_D</tex> ... free-vibration frequency of damped system
