Portland cement

A cement obtained by finely pulverizing clinkers produced by burning to semi-fusion an intimate artificial mixture of finely ground calcareous and argillaceous materials, this mixture consisting approximately of three parts of lime carbonate to one part of silica, alumina, and iron oxide.
