  86. Steel Joints - Determines capacity of steel joints for truss and frame structures fabricated from rolled or welded plate members. Determines rigidity of the connection and performs its classification (rigid joint, semi-rigid joint, or hinge).
  87. Steel for iPhone and iPod Touch - Steel for iPhone & iPod Touch is an application for Civil and Structural Engineers, Architects and Drafters. It Provides access to the American Institute of Steel Construction 13.0 and 13.0H steel shapes database.

The application contains the steel shapes appearing in the following American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) libraries: (1) Current Version 13 (in English and metric units); (2) LRFD 1st to 3rd Ed. (including LRFD 2nd Ed. SI - International Units); (3) ASD 6th to 9th Ed.; and HISTORIC.

Steel for iPhone allows sorting of the sections within a library given a specific property. It also lets you find a section with a quick search function, where, for example, "W16 x 89", "W16x89" or simply "W1689" will locate the same section or its closest approximation.
  88. SteelCAD - Automated steel detailing and fabrication software. Complies with AISC and CISC standards. Produces erection drawings and generates design calculations. Shop-ready drawings. Details most structural beams, columns, vertical and horizontal bracing, stairs, and ladders. Any member made from almost any structural shape.
  89. StruCalc for Windows - StruCalc is intuitive structural analysis and design program that enables to quickly size beams, columns, and footings.
  90. Tango - Program for the analysis of bridges that takes into account the actual procedure of bridge construction. Tango can analyze the following types of bridges: (1) steel bridges; (2) concrete post-tensioned segmental bridges; (3) concrete composite bridges - precast girders with cast-in-place deck; (4) steel/concrete composite bridges; (5) cable-stayed bridges. Tango can analyze the following construction sequences: (1) cantilever construction - cast-in-place or precast; (2) incremental launching; (3) cable-stayed; (4) span-by-span erection; (5) precast girder and deck as composite. Developed by Dr. Man-Chung Tang, who pioneered in many sound and innovative techniques in the design and construction of bridges.
  91. Timber Design - Written in cooperation with The Engineered Wood Society (APA-EWS), this structural engineering software program analyzes, designs or checks continuous beams or columns with optional cantilevers, simple supports or fixed ends, and handles most any type of loading conditions as well. Load generation is as easy as simply typing in your zip code.
  92. Virtis - Bridge load rating program.
  93. Wind Analysis - Structural engineering wind software designed to calculate design wind pressures using ASCE's "Minimum Design Loads for Buildings and Other Structures". Wind Analysis completely automates the ASCE calculations. Wind Analysis is available for ASCE 7-95, ASCE 7-98, ASCE 7-02 and ASCE 7-05. The program follows the ASCE code "to the letter" - each figure and table is coded into the program so closely that the ASCE publication can be used as an operator's manual for the program. This wind software program is easy to learn and quick to use because intelligent dialog boxes guide the user through the input process.
  94. WoodWorks Sizer - WoodWorks Sizer enables one to size beams, joists, columns and wall studs to meet the CSA O86-01 Standard (Candadian version) or 2005 National Design Specification (NDS) for Wood Construction (US Version).

    It has the following features:

    • Specify dead, live, snow and wind loads
    • Automatically pattern loads
    • Generate a materials take-off summary based on your design
    • Design for point, line, area, triangular, and trapezoidal loads simultaneously
    • Automatically check all load combinations as per [CAN: NBCC 1995] [USA: IBC 2003, ASCE 7-02, UBC 1997]
    • Analyze the critical load cases for reactions at supports, shear, bending, and deflection
    • Generate detailed analysis reports and diagrams
    • Generate a list of acceptable sections for dimension lumber, heavy timbers, glulam, LVL, PSL, or I-joists
    • Use the Materials Database editor to customize the software to your needs

  95. Xcalcs - Online engineering calculation sheets for beams, plates, vessels, etc.
